Sorry for the minimal love!

I haven't blogged in a while and for that I am sorry. It all started when we were due to have a house inspection. As this has been a share house for many, many years, we never have done too well on them, even though the place is much cleaner than when we first signed the lease. So I went mad. I went on some kind of crazy person frenzy which involved using a whole bottle of earth friendly spray and wipe and numerous old rags.
That's when it happened. I was washing down the cupboards in the kitchen and moved this beautiful little 50's green glass jar with a black lid.
Admittedly, I am a very clumsy person. I walked into the fish tank the other day for goodness sake. But what I lack in coordination I usually make up for in reflexes, meaning that whenever I drop something, I can usually catch it before it hits the ground.
Not this time. I dropped the jar. It broke just a second before I could wrap my hands around it. Instead, a sharp, pointy bit had it's way with my little finger. I really liked that jar.
Luckily, I work in the Emergency Department of my local hospital and was granted express entry to get stitches. Sadly, I had to keep my hands clean and dry which meant no working and no cooking.
That was a couple of weeks ago now and the stitches are out, alas it's Fringe festival time here in Adelaide and therefore, a magical and wonderful time of year. Anna Goodhind and I opened our art exhibition and I've been out and about playing in the garden of unearthly delights and Tuxedo Cat.
This does not leave much time to make vegan scotch eggs.
I have made a couple of other recipes, however feel that I can't post them until I have made the previously promised scotch eggs. So I'm here now to let you know, they will happen. One day. Soon. In the meantime, here is a picture of Graham the cat dressed Asa Stormtrooper. Xx
