Vegan Cheese and Baby Spinach Scrolls

Making your own bread sans bread maker is really rewarding and something I'm really into at the moment. I was forwarded this link from my lovely friend Viv (http://www.artisanbreadinfive.com/2010/02/09/back-to-basics-tips-and-techniques-to-create-a-great-loaf-in-5-minutes-a-day) and have been using this as a basis to make all kinds of deliciousness. Just follow the simple instructions and use the dough to make your own creations. We're planning a bake-off when I get back from the UK. I've never really made bread before without my bread maker, and I haven't had enough time to play and make up a recipe all my own, but this one works a treat. You'll love it!

For this recipe, take one part of dough and using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a square.
Top with baby spinach and grated vegan cheese.
Roll the dough up into a log and cut into six even pieces.
Put these pieces side by side on some baking paper and place in a baking tray.
Bake at 240*C or 450*F for half an hour.
Pull apart and eat! You can add a variety of ingredients to this recipe. I'm thinking maybe cheese and chutney, mushroom and spinach and maybe even pineapple, mushroom and tomato. And what about the mighty cheesy-mite scrolls. The possibilities are endless!
Xx

  4. Honestly, I can't remember. I think it may have been cheezy mozarella, but I could be mistaken. :)
