It's the little things.

I know that saving animals is not everyone's cup of tea. We're all busy people and events that are not directly affecting us are not always a priority.

But think of it like this.

The human race has, in the last 100 years, wiped out millions of years of perfect evolution.

These animals have been changing and growing in cohesion with their surroundings since the dawn of time. Each design is so specific that it is breathtaking how they (and we) manage to function. Every body part designed for a specific purpose and changing in accordance with its surrounds. It was meant to be here and it has taken all this time to happen- the amount of time for which is beyond our limited comprehension.

And now it's gone.

This realisation has had me rethinking a lot of my daily practices.
